When the GH3 was announced I did something I had never done before: pre-ordered a camera sight unseen. It arrived a few weeks ago and I’ve been testing it out, but I really put it through its paces when I shot in Juarez for Angels at War.

Double is a device for your iPad that enables telepresence communication without the high cost of traditional telepresence robots. CCP produced this video to highlight some of the possible uses of a Double robot, from touring the office or factory to browsing an art gallery.

From concept to launch, this video was produced at breakneck speeds in just under a week. Since launch, the company and video have been posted on countless blogs and the video has over 350,000 views.

Most movies that bring robots to the big screen do so in heavy sci-fi, big budget fashion, such as the Transformers franchise or I, Robot. What about robots in a contemporary documentary, one that inspires STEM education? Bots High is a film that does so, following high school robot builders for a year as they design, build, and compete head to head in robot battles, while learning valuable lessons along the way in their quest to build to best robot in the nation.
